If it weren't for my anti-lock brakes, my car would right now be either in a ditch, smashed, or both. I forgot that the end of my street gets pretty slick in snowy weather, as we have this morning, and I failed to allow extra stopping distance as I approached the T-intersection at the end of the street. More nattering about the Honda Fit: The one I bought is a sport model, with the power package. It even has power adjusters for the side mirrors, which is really nice,and something my Jeep Cherokee doesn't have. It plays mp3 CD's and has a port for an auxiliary player (like a tape player or mp3 player ( Read more... )

March seems to have brought my luck back. Yesterday afternoon I found the exact car had wanted at the Sawmill Carmax: a Honda Fit (okay, technically, I really wanted one of the cobalt blue ones, but cherry red is okay. And it's a Fit, so who am I to quibble?).
