I have never been so happy that the yoga ball I use as my desk chair sits in a frame to keep it from rolling around as I was yesterday at 1:50pm. Not everyone in Ohio felt the earthquake. Just over a week ago I bought this ergonomic keyboard. It's split, which the woman who assessed my workstation a few weeks ago recommended. It also has an embedded track pad, similar to one on a laptop, to replace a mouse. The keyboard looks like this:

I had an appointment Monday with our health and safety person for an ergonomic assessment of my work station. She stopped by my cubicle after lunch. She said she basically liked the way I have things set up. My chair is at the right height so that my hips are above my knees, but my feet still sit flat on the floor. Our annual veggie cookoff at work today. My gosh, but I think this was the best year ever. I ate a little bit of everything, and loved it all. I'm so full.

rfunk just completed his first week of work at a part-time temporary position. He says he likes working there, at least as a temporary job. I split a weekly share of vegetables from a local CSA (Sippel Family Farm) with two other people. Each week when the share arrives, two of us split it equally. One person rotates off each week, round robin style. According to our schedule, last week was supposed to be my week off, so I bought vegetables at the farmer’s market instead.
