Woke up with a sore throat today. This virus seems to be taking a traveling holiday tour of my upper respiratory system. This prompted a dust mite killing spree*. Since I quit eating brassicae (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, turnips) on an almost daily basis, my skin has completely cleared up. Now if I let myself eat a serving (say, of broccoli) once a week or so, and have no real problems with it. No acne at all. My food sensitivities seem to have settled down now. This week I have eaten peanuts, broccoli, and tofu, all without itching. I am very grateful for this. I do find myself more sensitive to the way processed foods make me feel, though. They seem hollow and unsatisfying. I had a Chevy Malibu rental for a day and a half. Luckily the repair to my car was simple enough that they were able to do it on Friday. Something broken inside the steering column. I was very lucky and got a doctor who moved to Ohio from New Jersey, where they actually have Lymes Disease. Apparently it hasn't made it into Ohio yet. She took a good look at it and said it didn't present like Lyme. She asked me if I had been out of the state.
