Food sensitivities

Since I quit eating brassicae (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, turnips) on an almost daily basis, my skin has completely cleared up. Now if I let myself eat a serving (say, of broccoli) once a week or so, and have no real problems with it. No acne at all. I almost don't feel the need for makeup, except to cover occasional redness on my nose and chin.

This past week, however, I ate my lunches out because I didn't have time to make the usual pot of stew that I take for lunches during the week. I know I ate broccoli once during the week, and had a serving of cottage cheese before I caught myself (I'm also sensitive to milk, including cottage cheese). I probably ate some things make with cream or milk as well, and wasn't aware of it. Perhaps there are other things in the restaurant lunches I ate that I'm sensitive too, as well.

At any rate, a small patch of itchy rash has appeared on my left elbow (I have no idea why that particular spot) a few acne pimples have appeared on my face. They are small symptoms, but they tell me I've ingested a few too many foods during that week that I'm sensitive to, and I need to carefully watch my food intake for a few days. A pot of stew is now simmering on the stove: onion, garlic, carrot, celery, yam, lentils, and pearled barley. This will be my lunch for the next few days until the rash and acne disappear. I don't want to eat any processed or restaurant food until the reaction dies down.
