What a busy and productive weekend I had! I had an appointment for my car to be serviced Saturday morning at 9am so we actually got out of the house early on a weekend, which never happens!

Because of my back issues the house hasn't had a thorough cleaning since last December. Sure, rfunk is great about helping out here and there with vacuuming and other things whenever I have asked, but he's not big on dusting or mopping, and I'm not very comfortable asking him to clean if I'm not helping. Vacation day yesterday. I took my Patches cat to the vet for her annual checkup and vaccination. This is my poor girl with chronic health problems. She has diabetes, which thankfully is under control with special diabetes diet food. She also has has chronic yeast (or something) ear infections (it's like ear mites, but without the mites). Woke up with a sore throat today. This virus seems to be taking a traveling holiday tour of my upper respiratory system. This prompted a dust mite killing spree*. Today was the fourth and final day of my four-day weekend. Tomorrow it's back to work.

Over the weekend rfunk helped me clear the clutter out of my middle bedroom, which hadn't been straightened up since last spring sometime and had also been serving as the-room-where-stuff-goes-that-I-don't-know-what-to-do-with. I slept in on Saturday, but I still felt very tired and achy all day. I rested a lot, and forced myself to do some house cleaning in between periods of resting. I actually got a lot done over the weekend. I cleared the bathroom counters, which had gotten quite cluttered, and washed the counters and sink.
