I had an uncharacteristically busy and social weekend. Saturday evening was a birthday party for a dancer friend of mine. We ate at a sushi restaurant with the most inefficient service ever. I am grateful for my friends. My friends make me feel loved. The ones at work who like to hang out at lunch with me. Other real life friends both near and far who care about me and bring happiness to my life. And of course, you all, and the friendships I have built here.

I feel truly blessed.

What a busy and productive weekend I had! I had an appointment for my car to be serviced Saturday morning at 9am so we actually got out of the house early on a weekend, which never happens!

I had a lovely time at OSU's Ren Faire Saturday. The weather, which was forecast to be rainy and overcast, actually cooperated with cloudless skies. I got to see performances of English Country Dancing and Morris Dancing. I have a fondness for morris dance, with its bright colored costumes, jingling bells and clacking sticks. Saturday evening we went to the Columbus Gallery Hop with gothpanda and Ryan. In one store, an older Asian man, probably Chinese, stood behind a table spread with photos that he had taken of flowers in people's gardens nearby. I stopped to enjoy the pretty colors. chronarchy, rfunk, and I all met featherynscale and triadruid for lunch at an Ethiopian restaurant.

featherynscale and triadruid were passing through Columbus on their way back home from a week-long road trip (from Kansas City to Boston and back). They are way cool people, and I enjoyed meeting them muchly. :-)

The food was good, too. I was very hungry, and now I am very not hungry, but in the best way.
