Hocking Hills weekend (photo travel log)
rfunk and I had a really nice time on our weekend vacation to the Hocking Hills region of Ohio. I took Friday off from work. We took our time getting up and packed, and arrived at our cabin about 4pm Friday evening. The cabin we stayed at is called The Bunkhouse. Snow!
We got goodness knows how much snow, sleet, and freezing rain last night and today. Yesterday they were predicting up to 10 inches of total accumulation. Knowing it was coming yesterday, I went ahead and scheduled vacation for today. I'm at home warm and cozy, but a little bit ago I braved the cold to snap a few pics.

Dawes Arboretum
I have lived within a 15 minute drive of Dawes Arboretum for 3 years now, but I have never been…until today. It was a gorgeous day: blue skies, mild temperatures, and the leaves just beginning to change color.

Flower photos, cleaning, and a fall
Saturday evening we went to the Columbus Gallery Hop with gothpanda and Ryan. In one store, an older Asian man, probably Chinese, stood behind a table spread with photos that he had taken of flowers in people's gardens nearby. I stopped to enjoy the pretty colors. The man loved to talk about his photos, and asked which ones I especially liked ( Read more... ) -
New hydrant
The last time I posted about our continuing water problems at the farmhouse, I noted that while we finally had consistent water pressure inside the house, the outside hydrant no longer had any water pressure. Great. The hydrant is the only outside water spigot, and I need to be able to provide water for my tenant farmers, let alone watering my own ( Read more... )
