Someone in saucydwellings posts "Before" and "After" pictures of a remodeling project, and I really prefer the "Before". Especially when the "Before" shot is the one above the cut. That's just false advertising. I get all excited and then it's a letdown.

I've gotten tired of my old default userpic. So I have just wasted several hours looking for more icons. I think I'll be trying out a few before I settle on one. Comments and suggestions are welcome.

I felt drawn to this one today.

We have a winner in the search for my 150th interest, provided by farwing: foraminifera. Foraminifera are planktonic, ocean-dwelling, single-celled organisms that secrete shells made of calcium-carbonate. These shells drift to the bottom of the ocean after the organism dies, where they eventually become a primary component of chalk formations.
