I had a lovely time at OSU's Ren Faire Saturday. The weather, which was forecast to be rainy and overcast, actually cooperated with cloudless skies. But I managed to find an old pair of black workboots that have the wide base of support that I apparently need to avoid the back pain. The performance yesterday was fun, but not a huge success. We were on right at the start of the smallish, afternoon-long fest. So there weren't many people there yet. I went online to buy a cane...and got caught up watching cane dance videos. This one is my favorite. I love how sweet, small, and smooth her movements are. And look at her face--she obviously loves this song.

I haven't yet mentioned my New Year's Eve plans. I will be performing with my dance troupe at Columbus's First Night celebration. We are in a smaller space than usual this year so we are doing solos and duets instead of group numbers. My troupe director gave me two solos! For one I will be dancing on water goblets.
