We have central air, but it doesn't work so well to cool the upstairs. We finally got our window a/c unit in the bedroom window last night. On the hottest day of the year so far. I haven't slept so well in weeks! Aaaahhhhh!

I had planned to go to an outdoor party yesterday afternoon, but with temps around 90 I decided it was too hot for me. I would have been miserable in that heat.

It is now truly summer here at my workplace. They have discovered the air conditioning. I am wearing a sweater and my fingers are white with cold. It will probably be this way for the next three months.

Today the sun is bright, the sky is deep blue, the air is warm but not hot (75 degrees F), there's a cool breeze blowing (9mph), and the humidity is low (48%). It is perfect camping and hiking weather. I, however, am stuck indoors without windows.

I am sad about this.

I sold the table for $25! Now my dance room as much more room to it! And yes, I've danced in the space ( Read more... )

A cool front came through last night and today the air is crisp and cool, and the sun is bright and cheery.

Traffic this morning was almost non-existent, and downtown seems strangely quiet. My office is practically deserted.

I suspect these two things are related.

Today is June 1, and I am wearing a sweatshirt. I love, love, love this weather. This whole spring has been cool, and weather sunny, like today, or cloudy as it has often been, the temperature has been even - in the 60's and low 70's. I wish it could be like this all year ( Read more... )
