Season's smells
One thing I will miss when summer is over is the smells. The smell of freshly cut grass. The smell of rain soaking into dry soil. The smell of green leaves.
Then there is autumn with its smells: apples, fallen leaves, bonfires.
Now that I think about it, winter has smells, too. Snow has a crisp wet smell, I swear. Woodsmoke wafting from a chimney. Evergreens indoors.
Spring's smells are of damp earth and the heady fragrance of flowers.
