Weekend update

My weekend was pretty quiet. Saturday we went to the Columbus International Festival, which probably would have been more enjoyable if I had been organized enough to have already made my Christmas gift shopping list. But I did meet up with a friend there to watch some belly dancing, which I enjoyed (some more than others, but over all I did enjoy it).

We weren’t impressed with the vegetarian choices at the festival, so we opted instead to eat yummy Chickpea Quesadillas at Whole World, instead. I think we made the right choice.

Then we came home to watch Rabbit-Proof Fence, which I had seen but rfunk had not. Still a great movie the second time around. I am not ashamed to say I cried. :)

Yesterday was spent doing chores: grocery shopping, laundry, straightening, dusting, and vacuuming. The house isn’t completely clean, but it’s much better than it was. And we enjoyed the feeling of accomplishment. Oh, and I even got in some cardio on the elliptical, followed by an hour of yoga. :)

We ended the day by watching an episode from the first season of the new Doctor Who. This is the 4th episode I have seen, and I have to say they aren’t doing it for me. Mostly I think the show doesn’t have enough there to sustain a full 45-minute show, and I end up being bored. I think I’ll give the rest of the first season a miss, and try again with Season 2 and its new Doctor.
