Whining:
* The water heater at the house broke. I've had cold showers for the past two mornings.
* The Honda service guys are lacking in customer service skills. When I checked in the car for service after work yesterday, the guys ignored me, only finally speaking to me when they wanted my address and phone number. I felt like the car was the real customer, and I was an afterthought. Being a new customer, I was already confused; being ignored was frustrating.
* One of my car's front tires had a "pressure bulge", which the mechanic said could blow up at any time. ("It's like a grenade," he said. They didn't have a replacement at the Honda dealership, so they put the spare on instead. A replacement tire should be in early next week.
* Now I can't drive over 55mph. I drove in on US 40, as going 55 on I-70 is likely to get me killed.
* I'm tired.
Good stuff:
* Rob is an excellent cook. He's planned and directed (with me assisting) several really excellent meals this week. Made me feel much better. :)
* Work is blessedly quiet today.
* Our plumber Randy should be looking at the hot water tank right now. Hopefully he'll get it working for us, and there will be hot water again.
* The Dublin Irish Festival is this weekend, which means I will get to see
lillassea and
_boy_! And The Tannahill Weavers! And probably run into other people I know. Awesomeness!
EDIT: The hot water heater is fixed! Rob says: "[The plumber] replaced both thermostats and both elements. The bottom heating element was an impressively destroyed mess."
