We are having a white Christmas here in Colorado. The snow started falling last night, with soft little pings as it hit the windows. It was still snowing this morning when we woke and the flakes have only increased in size and density since then. Kenny and my mom came home from the hospital today. His liver function is pretty normal again but he's not out the woods yet--they're still having a hard time managing his secretions, vomiting, and oxygen levels. It looks like they have a good plan in place for managing his care from home though where at least, as Mom says, she can control the ( Read more... )

Mom just called. Kenny has just been admitted to the hospital, where he will probably stay through the weekend. They think it's "just" complications from the flu, but whatever it is he needs careful monitoring and more care than Mom can give him on her own. His liver enzymes are messed up but they think that's just a side effect of the vomiting ( Read more... )
