Query
So we're going to need to get rid of our big, very nice entertainment center, which comes in two pieces. Real wood, cherry finish. The big hutch that holds the television is 43" wide and has a two small shelves for other equipment and two drawers for storage. Ok, William Carlos Williams aside, this is clearly not "just to say." This is a big, enormous, life-changing thing, and I am thrilled to be far enough along in my pregnancy (13 weeks) to be able to share this news in a more public way.

In memory
This morning, Tish took our cat Thalia to the vet to get her put to sleep. She had developed some fairly serious bladder problems that couldn't be solved except with expensive surgery, and even then the outcome would be uncertain. We chose to put her to sleep now rather than drawing out the suffering and stress for all involved.

Something I Found
My mother and I both have a subscription to a wonderful magazine called The Sun. Each month it solicits reader contributions on a specific theme or topic and publishes (probably in highly edited form) selections of what they receive. This is from the December 2011 magazine, and the theme was "saying too much ( Read more... )
