*hugs* I wish there was a way for it to be easier. But so much of modern medical technology boils down to guesswork and treating the symptoms, and something like half of the medical professionals who are supposed to oversee that technology are below average.

May I ask which hospital they have been going to? I know that which hospital my mom has been ivolved with has really changed the level of her care. Rigth now she's at University Hospital and they have been great but being at PSL sucked big time. When my dad was alive and went to PSL he got excellent care so things have really changed in the last 7 years.

*hugs* I totally understand how frustrating this is. Trying to help support a loved one while another one is sick and doing all this remotely. *scream*!!!

Kenny was at Poudre Valley Hospital, which is really the only deal in town in Ft Collins. There is a new hospital being built out by Loveland, but it's not done yet, and otherwise the family would have to go to either Greeley or Denver, both of which would suck.

However, this morning Mom told me that the CEO of PVH, Roulon Stacey, called her because he'd heard that she had such a rotten experience, so maybe some good will come out of this after all.

My first job after college was working with ports and designing specialized needles for accessing them to make patients more comfortable. I still miss doing that type of work.
