I couldn’t find Zara anywhere. I was calling her and nothing. I lay down on the bed and she magically appeared. I think that she was in my closet. Goof :) Now she’s all lovey dovey.

I just sent a cranky message to my doctor asking her to wait to get the pictures of my previous mammogram before scheduling an ultrasound. She also wants it right after I get back from Italy. No.

Woke up around 5 AM and tossed and turned for a half-hour before getting up.

I started buying bearded irises for the iris-peony bed. I bought a yellow-red one that I really like and some purple ones. Hmm, an article that I read said that peonies planted in the spring lag a year behind ones planted in the fall. ( Read more... )

Breakfast in the hotel was a bust. They were out of everything. I'll definitely need to have lunch before I go.

The hotel has some really pretty flowering trees that my plant identifier app says is a pear. I'll have to look into them. Apparently they’re invasive and the article that I read says not to plant them. Oh well.

Fuckity fuckity fuck. Apparently the landscapers were working on my mom's house today and started in with chainsaws before 8 AM this morning. They woke up my neighbors and they contacted me. Man, that earthquake in Taiwan was brutal. I feel for them.

If I like the Aerogarden, I might get a second one for cherry tomatoes. Or cooking herbs for the winter.

I'm now thinking of getting a new electric lawn mower rather than dealing with the one that I haven't gotten to work. I found a small, fairly cheap one that gets decent reviews.
