More Crankiness

I just sent a cranky message to my doctor asking her to wait to get the pictures of my previous mammogram before scheduling an ultrasound. She also wants it right after I get back from Italy. No.

Woke up around 5 AM and tossed and turned for a half-hour before getting up.

I feel like I care less and less about what people think. I'm just taking care of myself.

I'm going to have a gap of time in the afternoon. Maybe I'll go to Target.

I keep forgetting that the hotel puts the towels across the bathroom from the shower, so I get out, dripping, and make a mad dash for them.

The clothes that I brought hand-wash well, so they're coming to Italy with me. The underwear and socks don't dry as well, though, so I need to figure something out.

I'm going to cancel my brow appointment and do what I can with them on my own. But I inherited some crazy wavy eyebrows from my dad. Who has wavy eyebrows? I try hair gel on them, which helps a little, but they're hard to control. Thanks, Dad :) Canceled. I scheduled it for this Friday. Oops, I’ll still be in Minneapolis.

Had breakfast at the conference. I really like their coffee. It's Seattle's Best Coffee. I'll have to get some.

I ordered some quick-dry underwear and socks and travel detergent.

I haven't seen much of Minneapolis, but enough to get intrigued. I'll have to plan a vacation trip up here.

Ugh. My doctor said that I could schedule the ultrasound at my convenience, totally missing my question of whether it’s needed at all. I sent back a message explaining the issue yet again, telling her that I will not schedule an ultrasound until she gets the pictures from the previous mammogram, and saying that she’s being cavalier with my time.

I ate my leftover pizza for lunch. It was good. I’ll have to figure out something else for dinner.

Took a nap because there wasn’t a session at 2PM that I wanted to go to. Typical me: I have problems sleeping in the hotel room until my body decides that it’s too tired to care, and then I sleep all the time.

Another day bites the dust. I’m going to go to Target for more soda. Not sure what to do for dinner. DoorDash? Oooh, a restaurant has Chicken Pesto Parmesan that’s not horribly expensive and looks really good.

Went to Target. Came back and ordered DoorDash. I spent way too much money on food, but another place had a berry tiramisu cheesecake that looked scrumptious.

The DoorDash person with the cheesecake came quickly, but the one with the dinner thought that I was up on 6th St. Eventually, she found the place. Then she gave me the wrong order. The chicken parm was basically a salad with chicken and shaved parmesan. Pretty tasty though. I have leftovers. And yes, the cheesecake was to die for. No, leftovers there!

Oh! The Mary Tyler Moore statue is not that far away. I'll walk up there tomorrow.

I can take light rail to the train station. Though Uber would be quicker. There also is an express bus.

I've been reading You Are a Badass, which is full of Law of Attraction woo-woo. I was getting cranky with it. But then I thought that my life doesn't have room for other people, and that's what I'm giving out. Hmm. Food for thought.

I think that I should get ready for bed. I tried to nap, but I think that I need the lights off.
