My name is Adrienne. I'm 57 years old. I'm a Technical Services Librarian (that is, I work in the back processing books and maintaining the computer system) at a small college in Illinois. I have two cats, Zara and Mimi, who don't get along very well, leading to "Kitty Drama" LJ posts :)

Singing Intervals
Started a load of laundry when I went to bed. The front-loading washer holds less clothes than a top-loader. I needed to wash some clothes to donate too.
I have a singing lesson at 3, so I’m going to stay home today and bring my stuff for donation/recycling next weekend. Put clothes in the dryer and washer. I need to decide whether to keep a ( Read more... ) -

Woke up at 7 AM. Fed the girls and myself. Now I’m going to nap.
Crud. Someone else bought the mixer. I should have bought it. I’ll keep combing eBay for another one. I bought another one. It was a little more expensive but had free shipping, so it’s about the same.
Got some Zara snuggles, which is good for what ails me. Had a nice nap.

It's Going to Be a Long Winter
Woke up on time. Getting to bed early helps. It's dark and gloomy again today. It's going to be a long winter.
I love it when Zara comes running up to snuggle when I lie down on the bed. She curls up and naps.

Okay, I Guess That It's Winter
Yep, a light dusting of snow. I pulled out my down jacket, and it's warm, but I need to get my gloves out of the car.
Started to get the recycling out, but the bins were full. I rolled them to the curb. Wanted to get the dahlias in, but I couldn't find the plant clippers, which I need to cut the plants down before I bring them in. My pet sitter ( Read more... ) -
Mom's House Just Sold!!!
zhelana mentioned an online writer's workshop this weekend. I'm interested in the memoir writing and poetry writing sessions, so I registered. I'm not sure what time zone the sessions are in--Pacific Time because it's sponsored by the San Diego Writers group?

Italian Lesson
I got up in time for my Italian lesson. We did some listening exercises that were really hard. She also asked where I liked the culture on my cruise, and I said "Puerto Rico because the people are really nice".
Mimi is still being clingy. I had a nice nap with Zara. She comes trotting up when I lie down on the bed.

Tired Day
I was wondering how far Puerto Rico was from Florida. Two hours flight time. That explains the long flight from Chicago.
Zara is clinging to me. I was missed. And Mimi is glued to my lap.
Woke up with my alarm for once. it's a gray, rainy day.

Day 10: Back Home
It was good to take a shower this morning and get rid of the funk. Yesterday was a long day. I ate breakfast in the motel, such as it was. But it'll keep me going until I get home. The shuttle driver dropped me off at the bus facility. I have to remember this hotel (Super 8 O’Hare). I really like it, and it’s as reasonable as a Chicago hotel gets.

Day 9: Travel to Chicago
I think that I'll be able to book a hotel in Chicago if I book cheaply.
Checked in for my flight. Now it's time for a shower, put my suitcase in the hall, and go to bed (all done, except I’m waiting for my meds to kick in to go to sleep). They whisked the suitcases away right at 10 PM.
