So today I got to go flying with my old soaring mentor. We just went to a local park and flew small stuff, but that added to the charm. Randy, my old soaring mentor is a noobie with electric radio control models. He's been flying r/c sailplanes for many years and U-control models for almost as long. So it took longer to load the van than I hoped it would, but not longer than I figured. I got almost everything I wanted in, but had to leave couple of planes behind, so I've only got thirty planes with me. Sounds like a lot? Why yes, yes it is. So, after a somewwhat frustration weekend of not quite flying and prepping the bus to go, I'm about ready. I just have wednesday dinner, tacos for everybody! and the final load out thursday morning. Yes its been happening again. The rude kids on the bus have been harrassing KTY and even assulting her. So it's been back and forth with the school, the district, and the bus company. Fortunately this time the bus driver isn't a reletive of any of the bad kids and really likes KTY so we have somebody on the front line on "our side ( Read more... )

Saturdays was a great day, dawned clear and on the warm side with very light breezes out of the north west. I over loaded the bus with no name just to see how things fit and drove to the coast field. I got there early and set up. I even raised the pirate flag just for a bit of fun ( Read more... )
