So today I got to go flying with my old soaring mentor. We just went to a local park and flew small stuff, but that added to the charm. Randy, my old soaring mentor is a noobie with electric radio control models. He's been flying r/c sailplanes for many years and U-control models for almost as long. Talking of potent brew, a lovely lady who has been working on a term appointment brought in a spectacular chocolate cake on Monday to celebrate her last week here. The ingredients included very fine chocolate and three sticks of butter, as well as whiskey, Guinness stout, and Bailey's Irish Cream (the latter flavoring the cream cheese frosting). This delectable confection rejoices in the name of "Irish car bomb cake" (after a drink called an Irish car bomb that seemingly involves blending the three kind of liquor mentioned).
It seemed rather like the kind of thing you might serve up at one of your feasts...
