Samuel was discharged this afternoon late, but at least four days earlier than we expected. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. However, he apparently is uncomfortable - evidenced by his periodic bouts of crying (when we've made sure he's not hungry, not wet, not messy)
Samuel is doing just fine. Surgery was a textbook case, like the surgeon predicted. He's in CVICU for 24 hours, then likely to stay on the ward for 5 to 7 more days. Right now he is still sedated, but is not intubated and is not on ventilator - breathing fine, and with only slight noises, while lying on his back
