Today was a super day. Teddy woke up at his usual (at least lately) early hour, but after letting him out I put him back in his kennel hoping for 1 more hour of sleep. Yesterday was a glorious day. Everything went well and even the temperature/humidity co-operated, staying in the low 20's C or low 70's with a nice breeze. I don't have any "official photos as yet but have a few that people snapped by cell phone. Here they are:( click )

It rained this morning so Maggie and I didn't go out for our walk until after lunch. It was very windy and humid and the air was redolent with the scent of wild flowers, in particular Wild Rose. We have quite a bit of Wild Rose or Prickly Rose on our property and it is in full bloom right now. ( click to view )

Hubby and I have been away for 2 weeks. We went to Ontario to see my Mom and to attend the internment of the ashes of Hubby's parents. In total we (Hubby) drove 7494 kilometers or 4656.5 miles round trip. It will be some time before my backside feels normal again. It's been a while since I last posted. I still have a cough for which I am going to see my doctor about tomorrow. My knee is no longer sore but still unpredictable. I am amazed at how weak the muscles are in my left thigh. I've been walking up the stairs and my leg is actually tired when I get to the top. Today was a good day. I slept in until about 8:00, enjoyed a leisurely breakfast and then started my day. I make a carrot cake with cream cheese icing for dessert. I just got off the phone with my oldest daughter. She rolled her Escape. She is okay. Thank God. She was on her way to work and had just come over the top of an over pass and didn't see a big truck because of poor visibility.
