I brought Hubby home from the hospital yesterday evening. It wasn't without some drama but it's all good 'cause he's home. I had gone to the hospital in the morning driving the Jeep as Hubby wasn't supposed to go home until today. The physiotherapist signed off his chart for release but we had to wait on the final word from the surgeon. So I went ( Read more... )

Hubby had the first of two hip replacement surgeries today. Everything went well, he was resting comfortably and in no pain when I came home around 5pm. We were up at 3 am and left the house at 4:30 to get to the hospital by 6:00am. If everything continues to go well he should be home on Thursday. I'm going to hit the hay early tonight. Hubby and I had a busy day today and managed to accomplish pretty much on our "to do" list. I'm really tired this evening as it took a long time to get to sleep last night and what little sleep I did get was broken. Teddy was up at 6:15am, the little rotter. Bringing a new puppy home is a lot like bringing a new baby home. You are "on" 24/7 and at those times when puppy/baby is asleep it's a toss up whether to sleep as well or to do one of the many things that hasn't been done lately. Usually I opt for the latter. Yesterday Hubby had surgery to repair a hernia. Everything went well and I was able to bring him home last night around 6:30 pm. He was able to eat some soup and had a sandwich before going back to bed. Thankfully he very little pain and slept pretty much the whole night through. Today the temperature reached the double digits. This afternoon it went up to 10 C or 50 F. The snow is melting and I'm getting my first good look at the yard where it was dug up for the new septic system. Mud... lots of mud.
