Yesterday's workshop turned out pretty well. There were just four people that attended but at present I have limited space so it probably worked out the best this way. Everyone seemed to enjoy the projects and the two favorites seemed to be:
I changed the sentiment to read "for you" instead of "so very sorry" that is shown in this picture.
This was a last minute substitution as I thought the "quilt block"style Mother's Day card might be too time consuming. I'm please with how this card turned out and for a change this was completely my own design.
The calendar says that it is officially spring but it didn't seem like it for Hubby when he drove back to Ft McMurray this afternoon. He said that it was snowing for the last 100km or so and when we talked this evening it was still snowing. The temperatures here are hovering close to "normal". This could mean snow and/or rain on any given day. I'll take what ever comes. Everything is so dry again this spring and this afternoon when my oldest daughter we coming back home from Redwater which is about 20 minutes from here we saw a grass fire. The fire crews were there and at the time it didn't look too big so hopefully it was extinguished without too much difficulty. It probably started because someone flicked their cigarette out of their car or truck window.
WAKE UP PEOPLE! THINK BEFORE YOU ACT! HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO LOSE YOUR HOME BECAUSE SOMEONE DECIDED TO THROW THEIR CIGARETTE BUTT OUT OF THEIR VEHICLE?
Sorry about that. My rant is over.
It's getting late so I should be going to sleep.
