almost spring
Today the temperature reached the double digits. This afternoon it went up to 10 C or 50 F. The snow is melting and I'm getting my first good look at the yard where it was dug up for the new septic system. Mud... lots of mud. The dogs don't seem too sure about it, preferring to walk on the snow. Still, they manage to get their feet dirty so I've had to start wiping their feet when we go in. Unfortunately even with my efforts the entry was is looking pretty messy.
Hubby has gone back to Fort McMurray and it looks like his work schedule will be changing from rotating day shifts to a straight Monday through Thursday shift and Friday, Saturday and Sunday off. It means he will be home slightly less but hopefully this will enable me to get into some sort of routine around the house. Until now I've been doing things to follow his rotating schedule. Nothing seemed to get done the same day of the week two weeks running. Maybe meal planning will start as well. I had better be careful I am sounding way to organized.
The scratches on my hands are healing pretty fast. I wish my knee would make similar progress. My MRI is scheduled for the end of April. Not as early as I had hoped but not as far in the future as I thought it might be. If I do end up needing surgery on my knee that will probably be a much longer wait.
It's getting late and I want to get up in time to go to the early service at church.
