My family (siblings and parents) didn’t talk about religion, beliefs or faith when I was growing up. I’m not totally sure why, seeing we don’t talk about such things, but from what I have been able to glean, “your beliefs” are private. I receive a devotion Monday thru Friday from Provers 31 Daily Devotions and I felt that I had to share today's.Proverbs 31Daily Devotions.

Four and a half years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. In the months that followed I often wondered if things would go back to the way they had been, back to normal. The last couple of weeks I've have been struggling. The last 72 hours have been really tough. Not just emotionally but physically too. I've not slept well in a few nights and last night and all day today I've been suffering with terrible heartburn. A couple of amazing/interesting things have happened in the last few days. On Thursday while shopping my oldest daughter noticed that the vacuum filter she had in her shopping cart wasn't rung in. Whether this is true or not isn't the point. It is meant to encourage Christians to stand up for their beliefs. Something that we are not very good at. Political correctness has made it very unpopular to talk about ones beliefs. (we don't want to offend anyone you know)

Today I went for another massage. The massage therapist used light therapy in addition to the massage. I'm a bit sore, but it is to be expected as I was pretty knotted up. I will ice my shoulders after I've finished this post ( Read more... )
