Hubby and I had a busy day today and managed to accomplish pretty much on our "to do" list. I'm really tired this evening as it took a long time to get to sleep last night and what little sleep I did get was broken. Teddy was up at 6:15am, the little rotter. It isn't officially fall for a few more days and we've been enjoying warmer than average temperatures but it looks very fall-like in my part of the world. It looks and smells quite fall-like today. It's overcast, many trees are starting to turn colour, quite breezy and you can smell damp leaves which are scattered on the ground after last nights' rain. It's cool but not crisp and officially fall doesn't arrive for another 12 days so I'm quite okay with cool but not crisp temperatures ( Read more... )

The trees are about 50 turned right now. It's strange how one tree can be totally green still while it neighbour (same kind of tree) has completely turned. The yellow surrounded by green is quick shocking. Last night it was quite breezy as it is today and the yard is now carpeted in bright yellow aspen leaves. Mother Nature did her best to strip the remaining leaves off of the trees today. It was windy pretty much the whole day and there has periods of rain to accompany the wind.
