better

I'm in a better frame of mind today. There is still a whole lot of ugliness out there, but in my little world things are going ok.
Our son-in-law is home safe and sound. That is one big weight lifted off of everyones shoulders. Thank you to all who prayed for his safe return.
Saturday was the town wide yard sale in the town where our oldest daughter lives. I set up in her front yard with a bunch of retired stamp sets and some household stuff. ( I missed our town's day in May ) She had a few things to add to the tables as well. The day didn't start all that well though. Hubby and I had loaded the truck on Friday night and parked it in the garage. That way I would be mostly ready in the morning. Unfortunately I locked the garage and forgot that I had given my key to the realtor. I was so upset with myself. Hubby was my saviour and made a quick trip home to open the garage even though he works 45 - 50 minutes away. The weather was kind of iffy for a while; it was overcast and cool. We got about 12 drops of rain, but then the sky started to clear and the sun came out. It turned out to be a nice day. I did pretty well in the selling department making $183.00 and I had considerably less stuff to bring home at the end of the day. This money is going back into my Stampin' Up! business as I have spent quite a bit since the new catalogue has come out.
Our youngest daughter and her boyfriend came over for dinner last night. We had a nice visit and I got clobbered playing Magic with my daughter.
It's definitely "fall-like" here. Earlier this morning when Teddy and I were out walking I noticed how much the leaves are already turning yellow and with the rain we've had the last couple of nights there are lots of leaves on the ground too. There have been a couple of frost warnings and last night Hubby covered the tomato plants to protect them. Pretty soon I'll have to put the duvet back on the bed. I'm not looking forward to winter at all. It seems like summer was gone in a flash. Maybe we'll be lucky and have a long warm fall.

yard sale, fall, weather, stampin' up!
