Hubby and I have been visiting my Mom for the last few days. We arrived Tuesday around suppertime. The dogs are staying at a kennel and our oldest daughter is looking after our house and the cats.
We have been helping my Mom with a few things around the house and we took her to Kingston so that she could do some shopping at Costco. The weather here is typical fall weather with showers and gray skies. This afternoon it was raining quite steady but the sun was shining. My Mom thought there might be a rainbow so we went out on the deck to check and sure enough there was a rainbow, in fact for a while there was a double rainbow visible. I managed to take a couple of pictures before the rainbow disappeared.
This is the best picture I took where you can see both rainbows.
In this one the bands of colour are a bit wider but unfortunately the second rainbow had disappeared by then.
We will be driving to Mississauga on Monday to visit with Hubby's Mom and then flying home on Wednesday.
The trees are surprisingly still quite green around here. There is some colour and hopefully I'll be able to take a few pictures before we go home. I wonder if there will be any leaves left on the trees when we get back home. It's been so windy lately it's hard to say. We should have some nice ripe tomatoes waiting for us though.
