I just got off the phone with my oldest daughter. She rolled her Escape. She is okay. Thank God. She was on her way to work and had just come over the top of an over pass and didn't see a big truck because of poor visibility. She managed to get into the other lane but couldn't slow down enough to stay in control and took the ditch. She ended up on all four wheels. I had her check to make sure the exhaust pipe was clear so that she could keep the vehicle running to stay warm. She found the parts of her roof rack that broke off and put them in the SUV. None of the lights or windows were broken, but there are several dents and the gas cap door won't close. The snow in the ditch likely cushioned the impact. Because of "white out" conditions on the highways the tow trucks aren't winching out any vehicles so her SUV will be in the center median ditch for a couple of days. She is pretty shook up but otherwise fine and will be going to the hospital to get checked out. Her hubby in on the way to get her.
**EDIT**
For all those who wrote today, just a quick update. My daughter is fine. Thank God. No concussion, although she has a bump on her head and a red mark on one shoulder. Her doctor told her she is fine but would be sore tomorrow. Her boss told her to stay home tomorrow.
