It rained this morning so Maggie and I didn't go out for our walk until after lunch. It was very windy and humid and the air was redolent with the scent of wild flowers, in particular Wild Rose. We have quite a bit of Wild Rose or Prickly Rose on our property and it is in full bloom right now. ( click to view )

Your wildflowers are beautiful and I'm envious of your paved driveway. Not that we have snow to clear but before we placed tons of rock last week, we had a yucky driveway, too.

The Wild Rose as it is called here is our provincial flower. Perhaps it's the same flower, just under different names.

I heard a similar story about seeing backs of leaves meaning rain, but it was about Alder. I don't know if it is true.

I like this time of year, too. Not too hot, not too cold. Rain from time to time so you don't have to water all the time.

I would like a picture of a properly dirty Jeep.
