Today is the one year anniversary of Toms first inner ear infusion and last day of dizziness; ok so it was a few days later, but you get the point.  He had two more over the next two days.  One year since the Menieres disease/positional vertigo was the most prevalent thing in our lives.

My husband, Tom, was able to get in to see a specialist at a ear clinic in Memphis on Tuesday for possible treatment of his Meniere's disease.  They will have to run a battery of tests to see if he qualifies, but we are keeping our fingers crossed.  We hope that the treatments they offer will help him.  He had a few good years but he has had more ( Read more... )

So today Tom was feeling worse than he has in a while.  Not depressed worse, sick worse and on top of it all he was dizzy.  That always sucks.

I got irritated with him because we had plans to run errands today.  I had some stuff that needed to be done, and I wanted to get him out of the house.  But he was too dizzy. *argh*  I went and dropped off ( Read more... )

The last few days have been a roller coaster of emotions.  Not all bad, but not all good either.  We have had some struggles with the boys.  Thomas' mouth was getting him in trouble, we started getting him up earlier and giving him his meds and his attitude has improved immeasurably.  He cleaned his room without argument yesterday, and got it done ( Read more... )

I hate it when he is this dizzy!  It really hurts me when he is dizzy to the point of I just had 7 hours of sleep but I need to go back to bed, very unsteady on his feet.  Every little noise hurts his head to the point of having to hold it still; even the boys putting their forks on their plates to clear them.  I don't know what has been doing it ( Read more... )

I am so happy they didn't call school today.  Today is only the second day in 2 weeks that the boys have been to school.  They were driving me crazy!  I know it was more stir crazy with them; bored, over tired, stuck inside, of course the fact that Thomas woke up too late to take his meds Wednesday and Thursday didn't help ( Read more... )
