Wednesday the 26th.  picked up James' grade card.  I am glad he got the teacher he did.  She seems to be what he needs.  No nonsense, structured, he needs those things.  I was told she expects a lot and will push kids but that will be good for him.  I also picked up a math book from Thomas' teacher.  Evidently they have been working out of the ( Read more... )

I get so frustrated with Elle.  She expects so much and I feel terrible not giving it to her.  I know I shouldn't but I want to give my child everything she wants.

Her latest plans are: to move out just after Christmas and move into an apartment near UT campus, to work at a fast food joint on the strip and go to Pellissippi State Community College ( Read more... )

I just got off of a 17 min. phone call with Elle's Geometry teacher.  It is official, she has failed for the year.  She can not make enough points on her final to pass for the year.  She told me yesterday she was doing fine, turned in her missing assignments, etc.  Not so much. Yesterday Elle, Tom and I had a meeting at KCHS to talk to the Principal, Academic Dean, and Disciplinary Dean about Elle returning next semester.  The Disciplinary Dean called us before Elle went to Martha's Vineyard on vacation to set up the appointment, we thought it was just with him, not the whole group of them.  They seemed really big on the ( Read more... )

The last two weeks have been very hectic with the new job and all. It's been great. I finally finished up my three weeks of training and last Thursday was my first day as a ratioed employee (doing everything on my own).

My first two days were in a group home, with just 8 clients, I was assigned to 2 or 3 so it was pretty easy, well not as hectic. ( Read more... )
