Had a problem with the battery life - thought it was fully charged then it only ran for 10mins. So I left the power on and let the battery fully drain, then charged the battery overnight. Running it today, that seems to have done the trick ( Read more... )

Two more mice have met their maker (Sqeek). I actually heard the trap go off last night, even. Same trap. Same spot. I concur with the experts: peanut butter cannot be beat as bait.

Unfortunately, unloading a sprung trap has been giving me the willies. Hey, this is the first time I've killed on purpose.

It's been a month and change since Derek arrived and he hasn't worn out his welcome yet. I've run him 3 or 4 times and:

• Clean up / maintenance is simple
  
• The quality of the clean hasn't deteriorated.
  
• I'm less than thrilled with the virtual wall. I haven't figured out how to place it so that Derek doesn't lumber up on the carpet yet the whole floor ( Read more... )

There's a public works truck across the street, pumping something out of (icky stuff) or into (air) the underground pipe works (sewer, storm runoff, utility, whatever). It's not a quiet pump. It's ten freakin' o'clock at night. It's been running for two hours already ( Read more... )
