A Derek Update
It's been a month and change since Derek arrived and he hasn't worn out his welcome yet. I've run him 3 or 4 times and:
- Clean up / maintenance is simple
- The quality of the clean hasn't deteriorated.
- I'm less than thrilled with the virtual wall. I haven't figured out how to place it so that Derek doesn't lumber up on the carpet yet the whole floor gets cleaned. With v-wall, I end up with a foot-square portion that doesn't get touched. I find it easier to just block the doorway.
- I haven't done a vinegar wash yet.
- Sure, I could mop my own floor in less time and I have to go in with a sponge to wipe out corners and crevices but with the Scooba I can be doing something else and frankly, Derek does an amazing job of it, far far better than I've ever done.
