It's not so much resolutions as it is the mantra from the project management seminar I attended a few months back: Plan your work / Work your plan.
1. Having ended production in the MarJai Reproductive Factory, it's time to dispose of Bean's outgrown clothes to thrift shops, charity orgs, consignment shops, or online sales. I guess it's time to explore CraigsList.
2. Repeat for Bean's outgrown toys.
3. I watched Food Network's Chefography on Ina Garten and was inspired. I don't think I'm up to matching
tzel's 'one new cookbook recipe a week' goal but I was inspired by Ina's idea of entertaining. So I'm going to try to have a small dinner party once a month.
4. I saw an article at Wired or Discovery about science cafes. In short, you go to a bar, order a beer, and listen to someone explaining the science behind the killer waves at Maverick Beach for 20 minutes then spend the next 30 minutes in Q&A. Casual science seminars at your local pub! I started looking into SciCafes in my area and learned that one of the local professional research societies has sponsored a few with NASA. I'm both excited and disappointed - excited that they exist here and disappointed because I was looking forward to organizing a new one. So I'll attend the events they have scheduled this spring and see if I can help out any. I'd like to see the scientists come from other sources than NASA - say, marine archeologists from the Mariners Museum for example.
5. Get my gosh-durned application in to Mensa...
