Picture it, the late 1970s. A redneck town is experiencing population growth and the need to build new houses. There is lots of farmland to convert to houses near the newish, experimental high school, Beyer. This year I've googled Tebow (really?) and found out who Adele was. The latter only came about because Whitney Houston died, really. Whitney's death was Grammy weekend, which caught my parent's eyes. Barring the typographic blunders which persist and their accompanying verbal gaffes, I generally like the way my communicating has changed. A lot of those issues are due to constant code switching, poor editing, and tiredness. This week has offered a chance to reduce the negative impacts of the last. The day after Thanksgiving I picked up smoking. That was two weeks ago. I smoked two packs (though I did share a few cigarettes since then) and purchased a third today.
