It's ironic that on the Canada Day stat holiday, I took the day off "work" in town, and worked 10x harder here on the farm!  I am tired and sore - aching all over, but it's all good.

I got some cutting done early in the morning, but not where I really needed to.  I was cutting down the high grass in the old corral, again with the idea that we could move a bunch of other stuff in there until we could figure out what to do with it.  The skies were clear, and it looked like the weather ( Read more... )

    One of the first things I did this morning was to replace the kitchen faucet.  The old one was leaking pretty badly, and although the sink had a hole for a little shower-head, one had never been installed.  Although the old faucet was pretty worn out, at least the connections to it had been done properly (a rare thing in this house, it seems ( Read more... )

Forgot to mention that we also spent four hours yesterday cleaning all the garbage and filth out of the garage.  That finished off the third dumpster, so Jack came out and swapped it with an empty one.  The kidling rode around with him and his grandson for the rest of the day while trixstir  and I worked on cleaning up the place.  Trixstir worked in ( Read more... )
