Last night was not pleasant. Woke up at 2:30am with a need to use the washroom, and as I feared the muscle spasms in my left thigh returned. Thankfully with nowhere near the intensity, but enough to be unpleasant, and with a constant twinge as a warning that a full-blown spasm could happen at any moment.

    We got hit with one incredible storm last night.  It started around 8pm or so, with just some dark clouds, and a bit of lightning and thunder.  Nothing much, just a normal ho-hum summer thunderstorm.  Then things got bad, fast...      The weather forecasting around here just gets worse and worse.  I really think they're just making it up as they go along, and don't really give a care one way or another.  It would also really help if the WeatherRadio (Canada's version of the NOAA) actually worked out here.  The closest transmitter is in Swift Current, and we're on the very ( Read more... )

     I had meant to post something on the 4th of July, wishing well to my American friends, but the last several days have been so busy I haven't even had time to log on.

Days at the shop have been slow in some ways, too fast in others.  I'm not making a huge amount of progress in the current work-load because just about everything is waiting ( Read more... )

     It's ironic that on the Canada Day stat holiday, I took the day off "work" in town, and worked 10x harder here on the farm!  I am tired and sore - aching all over, but it's all good.
