      We no longer have a dog here at the farm.  A dog needs lots of love and attention, and he wasn't getting anywhere near as much as he needed.  This was the reason I was reluctant to get the Kidling a dog in the first place, but I thought that perhaps he was finally mature enough to take care of a dog.  It became pretty evident that just like ( Read more... )

Yesterday was just one of those days where you're glad you made it through the day without killing anyone.  Work itself wasn't that bad, and I didn't have any issues with anyone I dealt with there, but I was just in a mood and felt like biting heads off.  The dreary weather, I fear, is getting to me; And it's not getting any better.

     I swear, some dogs have the worst case of ADD...

I took the Muttski out with me when I went to feed the horses.  The Kidling and I finished rebuilding his dog-house a couple weekends ago, so lately we've been leaving him outside (and chained) when we go out for extended periods, rather than leaving him locked in the house.  We also tie him ( Read more... )

As I had mentioned in the last posting, trixstir  and I went to Swift Current for her second pre-natal exam, and this time we were able to hear (sort of) the heartbeat.  It was difficult to get a proper result, because the baby kept moving around every time the doctor tried to listen.  I guess it's shy.  Those who read ( Read more... )

We found out why the dog has been barfing lately...

This morning, trixstir  caught him red-pawed in the back of the truck, ripping apart the garbage bags and eating the trash!  Darn dog has been climbing up on the big snowbank next to the truck, and jumping in the back to raid the trash!  He knew immediately that he'd been caught doing something ( Read more... )

 
     The Kidling wanted to wash his bedsheets this evening; Seems they're kinda stinky, smelling a lot of dog.  Geee, I wonder why?  The dog sleeps on his bed, and since half the time he doesn't bother making his bed in the morning, it's going to start smelling "doggy".  That, and the dog could really use a bath, again...   Yeeeesh!  Do dogs ( Read more... )
