I have today off since I worked on Sunday. I slept in, which was lovely. When I got up I opened the windows in the bedroom and master bath upstairs and the living room and kitchen downstairs. Today it is finally raining. We have had a few sprinkles, but it's been ages since we have had a decent storm. It was raining so hard on my way to work that I could barely see. I like watching the Australian show Beyond Tomorrow. This evening I saw a segment about the Tornado Attack Car. What originally caught my attention was when the announcer said she was in Charlotte. Today is a lovely spring day, slightly cool and damp with intermittent mist. When I went out to lunch it was misting. The folks from the BJU Art Museum opening were clustered under the overhang on the back of the library. Tomorrow is spring. I am enjoying watching the trees bud. Our pear trees in the front yard are completely white. I catch glimpses of them out the bedroom window and smile. The weather this weekend was what I love about living in the South. The sun was shining and it was warm enough to sit outside in short sleeves. I sat on the front porch Saturday soaking up the afternoon sun and reading. It was wonderful! Especially after spending the week sick. At least it was a cold and not the flu, so I didn't complain. This morning when I awoke all 4 cats were on the bed with me. This is somewhat unusual. Most of the time at least one of them refuses to be in the same area with one of the others. Two cats were cuddled up against me. The other two were on Eldred's unoccupied side of the bed. It was lovely. I was able to sleep in because Monday is my day to work ( Read more... )
