Ah, Spring!

Today is a lovely spring day, slightly cool and damp with intermittent mist. When I went out to lunch it was misting. The folks from the BJU Art Museum opening were clustered under the overhang on the back of the library. There are little tents scattered around the green, but they don't have sides and mist was at at angle. I thought it was very pleasant. :-)

My sinuses have not been complaining too much about the pollen and other harbingers of spring. The trees in the front yard have bright green leaves now. The birch tree has been dropping yellow pod things and branches on the truck. And, one of my favorite signs of spring - the azaleas are starting to bloom. I love all the colors of azaleas. We need many more of them in our yard. If only I weren't too lazy to plant them.

I finally finished the third "my year of ..." books in a row. For something completely different, today I started reading a book written by a librarian about the crazy things that happen in a public library. Hey, honeypot904, you should take a look. It's fast reading and entertaining so far.

Since I am working today, I had yesterday off. I was awakened just after 8 by the pest control guy. Evidently there was a miscommunication with the appointment setter. I thought he was coming Monday morning. No problem, though, since I was home. After he left, I went back to bed and had a lovely long sleep. The only problem was that I didn't want to go to bed last night, so now I'm tired today. Sigh...

The cats were happy to sleep with me on the bed and then snooze on the couch while I read email and LJ and watched episodes of MI-5. I am on Season 3 and still enjoying it. And I have finally caught up on LJ. I got hopelessly behind at the end of last year and had to skip lots of messages in order to get current.

Book I'm listening to: Califia's Daughters by Leigh Richards
Books I'm reading: Captive Bride by Johanna Lindsey; Free For All: Oddballs, Geeks, and Gangstas in the Public Library by Don Borchert
