Yep, I'm still here.  No time for posting these days as I'm fighting a daily (losing) battle with study cards, notes, binders full of clinical practice guidelines, and textbooks.  I skype at night with Jack and the girls and spend most of my time yawning.  My day ends right around the time that another one begins, I set my alarm, read a few pages ( Read more... )

I saw my doctor today; she's prescribed ranitidine to help prevent GI bleeds and stomach issues from the prednisone.  I don't like taking pills, feeling that I have to treat this and control that and prevent this, all with pills.  Bleh.  Also, she's booking me a bone density scan, and told me to take Tylenol arthritis when my thumb aches ( Read more... )

It was a busy day and I'm looking forward to being able to relax and unwind once the girls go to bed.

Working night shifts at work has got me used to staying up late and even when I'm tired and go to bed at a decent time, I can't fall asleep.   The last time I saw the clock it was just after 1 a.m. last night and I had to be up before 5 a.m.  I had even taken melatonin to help me sleep, and my back was so sore that I eventually went to the recliner ( Read more... )

I sorted through a mega pile of dirty laundry, and put the first load on to wash.

I also sorted a mountain of recycling, filling bags and boxes of cardboard, pop bottles, plastic, milk jugs, and paper.  It will leave my house tonight when Jack gets home, hell or high water.
