smelly things
The other day I was at ladyjane's and misslynx's  place and smelled some of their perfume oils.  I'm not normally all giddy with stujf like that but some of them were totally devilish. They reminded me of a store at home called Black Market.  It makes me seriously consider switching to them when my birthday oils arrive.  That and burning incense ( Read more... )

What a great time.  My only wish was that I had a larger apartment and more chairs.  I finally relaxed and felt so much better.  People had some awesome costumes, from astounding (such as the former bridesmaids dress of sgeimh_solais) to silly (cleasai, in striped tights and witches hat).  Some people came in their work drag, which was oddly amusing as well.  Thank- ( Read more... )

Bad birthday weekThis hasn't felt much like birthday week.  It's been cold and windy, and my sinuses haven't been happy - I've had a bad headache for days.  Also, I'm not sleeping well.  I have short night sleeps, ofte with nightmares, and then naps where I can, usually filled with weird nonsensical dreams.  One nightmare was almost film-worthy as ( Read more... )

Came home and had a brief melt-down because the lasagna I'd ben looking forward to was both overcooked and cold and mr_pugh had eaten the icecream I was saving.  Now admittedly, this was his first attempt at lasagna, and for a first time out it was ok.  I've certainly made worse ones myself.  Also, he didn't have any idea I'd been saving the icecream, ( Read more... )

Ok, I've got my birthday off from work (August 23rd).  This is happily, one of the days mr_pugh also has off.  So I want to have a party.  My place is kind of small, but I'm also not keen on picking a restaurant where eveyone has to spend money just to hang out.  Suggestions?  My building has a "party room," but it's basically an empty square room.  ( Read more... )

I'm one of the co-coordinators for the ninth international conference on bisexuality.  I'm in charge of paperwork, such as the nuans search (done!), non-for-profit incorporation, and first draft of documents. I'm also heading up the call for workshop proposals and liaising with the speakers and presenters we pick.  I expect it to be much fun ( Read more... )

I've had a pleasant day so far. I went out and paid all my bills. I strolled around looking at store, but all their clothes were ugly. One thing that bothers me about Le Chateau: as a whole, they come across pretty funky, but the individual clothing items are not funky enough in and of themselves to justify a purchase. So far, birthday week is off to a good start. I was up until four (having excellent sexcapades). The fire alarm woke me up at 11, but that gives me more time to get some work done. Today I hope to get out to Timothy's and read some books that are due at the library tomorrow. I also want to get a good chunk of German studied.
