The Monday morning after Blu died three-ish weeks ago, we took his body to the local humane society, the Bonnie L. Hays Animal Shelter, and paid $90 to have him cremated, just as we've done for pets we've had in the past. I said last year that I had a feeling I'd be 28 before I knew it. And here I am, on my 28th birthday. Unlike last year, I enter my 28th year with new friends, new loves and new optimism! Last night, Leann and I had another date, but this one was another casual stay-in movie night. After a bite at Chipotle, we escaped back to her apartment. The whirlwind courtship of Leann continues! I'd forgotten how nice it is to live within driving distance of someone you're trying to date.
