Scarlett continues to thrive as she heads towards her first birthday coming up in mid-March. She had another checkup at the beginning of the month and she remains in the 90th percentile for height for her age. During the holidays, she first began to walk, and now she's all over the place. It has happened! Scarlett is walking! It began a couple weeks ago but really got going when she was with us on our trip to be with Nicole's immediate family in California for Christmas. The big event this August was taking a trip to Washington state's San Juan islands north of Seattle with Nicole's family. For an entire week, we enjoyed specifically Orcas Island from the comfort of a beach rental with a fantastic view. Last week, I had a routine 6-month dental checkup and cleaning. It went wonderfully and once again, I'm cavity and issue-free. This also marks the end of three full years of being in braces. So every other Tuesday on my short work weeks, Nicole and I have begun going to the cineplex to catch a flick. Tuesdays have become a day in which local cinemas discount tickets, so it works out well. More rough news! On the morning of Sunday, February 15th, 2015, Tucker died. He was my parents' ginger cat who lived to be around 18 years old. I was given Tucker as a Chrstmas gift in 1998 even though my parents knew I had asthma and was very allergic to cats. I guess at the time, my siblings all had pets and wanted me to have one too.
