I said last year that I had a feeling I'd be 28 before I knew it. And here I am, on my 28th birthday. Unlike last year, I enter my 28th year with new friends, new loves and new optimism! I look forward to the future more and more these days. With my social calendar bursting, it's hard not to be excited. This year for my birthday, we're playing it low key but one thing I've requested is cupcakes instead of a full cake. In response, people have been making mountains of cupcakes for me. Even Leann made me a batch of cherry cheesecake cupcakes that are drool-worthy. It's been a fun few days!
Speaking of Leann, we're spending gobs of time together. Nearly every other day, we're hanging out. She's come over here a couple more times and everyone seems to be getting along. This weekend, I plan on seeing her no less than three times. It's really been fun! We try to do something new every time we meet. There's lots we have to show each other. I'd forgotten what it's like to share stuff with someone new and special. It's nice to share secrets and be accepted and hugged and all that nonsense that other people take for granted. It's nice to be loved.
So this weekend, my sister is bringing over her new Beatles Rock Band kit. We're gonna jam like it's 1968. White Album ahoy, ya'll!
