I had a 12 hour wedding on Friday (for the company I subcontract for) and a 6 hour one on Sunday. Both were lovely, but I am still exhausted!!! I was once again reminded why I do not take on 2 weddings in a row. Thank goodness there was a day between them.

I buy most of my meat from Hugo's, which is a butcher shop pretty close to where we live. Hugo's bacon was voted "Best in the city," much of his meat is from mennonites and his son is the vet on the farm many of his animals come from. It is all organic, though the does not advertise it as such. He also has amazing hot dogs, which he preserves ( Read more... )

I don't think I knew about friend-locking when I started this. Is there an easy way to go back and friend lock old entries? I wrote some pretty stupid stuff that should have been either friend locked or private. Have you gone back and read your old entries? What a humbling and humiliating experience that can be!

Julia was an angel last night. For the first time EVER, she grabbed at her crib bars and said "Julia sleeping." I put her in her crib and she said "Mommy sleeping," because she wanted me to lie down on the floor beside her (not sure I like this new bossiness and also not sure how not to give in, since she can now jump out of her crib...).
