Wow, I'm a jerk

I don't think I knew about friend-locking when I started this. Is there an easy way to go back and friend lock old entries? I wrote some pretty stupid stuff that should have been either friend locked or private. Have you gone back and read your old entries? What a humbling and humiliating experience that can be!

Yup! Though he's loathe for me to mention it, Jason and I didn't speak for a couple of years, for truly no good reason (except he was dating Sarah). When we first re-met randomly, he blogged about it and was not exactly happy to see me. The good news is it's totally water under the bridge. We had one uncomfortable conversation about it, and all is completely well.

So you read HIS blog then?

Uh-oh.

Let me get this straight-you read Jason's blog and then somehow became friends again after that, right?

No, I didn't know he had an LJ. When he and I re-connected, he then Friended me for LJ. After hanging out for a while, I thought it would be nice to see what Jason had been up to for a couple of years since I'd seen him. When I went in the archives, that's when I found the post. I wasn't terribly happy, but could certainly understand his perspective. I mentioned I'd seen it, and Jason turned white as a sheet. But I also knew that bygones were bygones, it didn't have any real meaning now, and things were okay. Which they truly are.

Yes, I have several layers of friends-only... except I always forget which is which. I figure if anyone has the interest to go back and read what I wrote in 2002, and finds something about them in there because my privacy settings changed, hopefully they'll be cool enough to talk with me about it.

Yeah, but you probably didn't write something mean about someone and then write "She may even be reading this write now, but I don't care," or something stupid like that.
